IWPA Population Intelligence
Understand populations, not individuals.
Aggregated insight into how defined groups of people tend to work, reason, relate, and choose, drawn from eligible IWPA assessment data. Built for research and planning questions. Never a way to look up a person.
What it is
Evidence about groups, produced under strict aggregation rules
IWPA measures work personality, emotional intelligence, applied cognitive ability, and occupational interest with one deterministic, versioned instrument. Population Intelligence summarises those results across a defined cohort, so an organization can study a population or segment without ever seeing the people in it.
Defined cohorts
Every study names its cohort precisely: the assessment and scoring version, the eligible population, and the demographic filters applied.
Aggregate statistics only
Deliverables contain group statistics such as distributions, averages, spreads, and pattern frequencies. Individual records never leave IWPA.
Transparent methodology
Each deliverable states its sample size, eligibility rules, suppression rules, and limitations, so findings can be read at their true strength.
Where it helps
Questions Population Intelligence is designed to answer
Market and product research
Understand the work styles and interests of the segments your product or service is built for.
Workforce planning
Explore capability and preference patterns in a labour segment before designing roles, programmes, or locations.
Talent-market insight
See how occupational-interest and work-personality patterns differ across experience levels, industries, or regions.
Population and segment understanding
Describe a defined population on dimensions that surveys of self-reported opinion cannot measure well.
Education and development research
Study patterns among students, graduates, or learners to inform curricula, guidance, and development design.
Organizational research
Frame research on leadership, team, or culture questions with aggregate evidence from comparable external cohorts.
Cross-segment comparisons
Compare two eligible segments on the same measures, with sample sizes, effect sizes, and caveats reported alongside every difference.
What you receive
A reviewed, aggregate evidence package
The exact scope is agreed per study. A typical Population Intelligence report can include:
Work Personality
Distributions, central tendency, and spread across composite and subscale results.
Emotional Intelligence
The same aggregate view for emotional intelligence composites and subscales.
Applied Cognitive Ability
Aggregate distributions for applied reasoning results, reported with appropriate caution.
Occupational interest (RIASEC)
Frequencies of dominant interest themes and interest patterns. Interest ranks are never averaged into a misleading single score.
Segment comparisons
Differences between eligible segments, with standardised effect sizes and confidence intervals where statistically appropriate.
Methodology and limitations
Cohort definition, sample and eligibility, data quality, suppression applied, and what the results can and cannot support.
Privacy by construction
Population Intelligence is not a data-broker product
IWPA does not sell people. These principles are built into how studies are produced, not added as a disclaimer afterwards.
What you never receive
- Names, email addresses, or any contact details
- Individual profiles or individual scores
- Personally identifiable participant records or raw participant rows
- Another organization's participant information
- Statistics for groups so small that a person could reasonably be singled out
How participants are protected
- Only participants whose recorded consent permits this use can contribute
- Test, incomplete, invalid, and low-quality responses are excluded
- Small groups and thin comparison cells are suppressed, not rounded or estimated
- Narrow or overlapping slices that could isolate individuals are blocked
- Every study and every export is recorded in an audit trail
What results can and cannot claim
Honest about coverage, sample, and meaning
Depends on available data
Whether a question can be answered depends on how much eligible data exists for the cohort requested. We tell you before any work is agreed.
Not a national census
IWPA cohorts are not representative of an entire country or population unless the cohort definition and sample genuinely support that claim.
Bespoke studies may need new data
Where existing eligible data is insufficient, a study may require additional, properly consented data collection.
Differences are not causes
A difference between segments describes the data. It does not show that belonging to a segment causes the result.
How a study works
From research brief to reviewed deliverable
Brief
Tell us your research objective, target population, and the questions you need answered.
Feasibility
We check whether IWPA's eligible data can answer the question fully, partially, or not yet.
Scope and quote
We agree the cohort definition, deliverable, and timeline, and provide a custom quote.
Analysis
Statistics are produced from eligible data under IWPA's suppression and privacy rules.
Review and delivery
The deliverable is reviewed before release and includes full methodology and limitations.
Start a conversation
Submit a research brief
Population Intelligence studies are scoped and quoted individually. There is no instant purchase: tell us what you need to understand and we will come back with an honest view of feasibility.
What happens next
- We review your brief and may ask clarifying questions.
- We check whether eligible IWPA data can answer it.
- If it can, we propose a scope, deliverable, and quote.
Submitting a brief does not commit you to anything, and it never gives access to participant data.
